Do You Have What It Takes?

I just want to take this time to say hello and welcome you to this blog. That word still seems odd “blog”. I mean I think it’s a poor excuse for a portmanteau. Yeah, about that last word, you may find words on here you are not sure what they mean. I encourage you to look them up; it’s how we all learn. Now where was I? oh yes portmanteau. I mean it’s a crappy mash up of web and log. I mean, shouldn’t it be something more like “wog” or “welo”? Oops, rabbit trail.

On here you will find things that may have the propensity to irritate the crap out of you. You will find humor, sarcasm, controversy and brutal honesty. You will find vulnerability. You will find anger and frustration.You will find what I call “biased truths” (I believe if we are all honest, that really is what opinions are). You will find pain but I hope what you find most is hope, victory, healing and a willingness to have the no-longer-so-common-common sense to realize the need in our world to know that our point of view isn’t the only one, nor is it the only right one.

I ask as you read these entries, you do so with a willingness to experience them from a different perspective and be willing to challenge your own ideas surrounding each. It is only through our willingness to be rigorously honest with ourselves that we can truly grow and become the best person we can be.
